Yamashin Jozo Premium White Soy Sauce is a light soy sauce. It’s a specialty from the Aichi region, famous for both its wheat fields and the purity of its water. Unlike traditional soy sauces, this one is made from 90% wheat and just 10% soybeans. This unique composition gives the sauce a light, almost transparent color and a delicate, balanced and mild flavor. The rich aroma comes from the breakdown of wheat proteins, enhanced by natural salt that’s been sun-dried in Mexico. The result: a balanced soy sauce, rich in umami, with a subtle and elegant taste.
Thanks to its lighter color, white soy sauce is super handy in the kitchen for flavoring dishes and sauces while keeping their beautiful natural color intact. You can add it to omelets, savory pies, broth and other cream and egg-based dishes, but also use it in salads or with braised fish and meat.
