Staff picks: Our favourite Hot Sauces at the moment

Harry’s Nut Butter Extra Hot – New in our range and honestly a total winner if you ask me is this spicy peanut butter from Harry’s Nut Butter. I never would have predicted it would end up in my staff picks. Because I have to be honest — I’m not the biggest peanut butter fan out there. But once this jar was open, I just kept going back for more spoonfuls. The combination of spicy, savory and salty is absolutely spot on. Finished off perfectly by the chili that’s in there. And this peanut butter is definitely not just a winner on your toast — it also works great as a substitute for satay sauce, as a sauce for noodle dishes, or as a dip with raw veggies.
La Barbacoa by Heatsupply – It’s still very much barbecue season, so a seriously good barbecue sauce absolutely has to be on this list. And one of my all-time favorite BBQ sauces is our very own La Barbacoa. This one has everything a great barbecue sauce needs: roasted garlic, Chipotle, Habanero, coffee, apple and agave syrup. Sweet & smoky!
Wild Sauce Ginger Amarillo – This delicious, fresh sauce is perfect for summer. It pairs beautifully with light dishes like ceviche, grilled vegetables and salads. The sauce is reminiscent of a salsa verde, but the fusion version with ginger and Huacatay, also known as Peruvian black mint. A sweet flavor and aroma with hints of pineapple, coriander, citrus and mint. Truly a one-of-a-kind sauce.

Sweet Sting Smoked Habanero Hot Honey – First up in my staff picks this time is the Hot Honey from Raijmakers Heetmakers. Hot Honey is honestly one of the best products out there if you ask me. You can combine it with so many things and in so many ways that I use it almost every day. But this hot honey is next level good. This honey is infused with walnut wood-smoked habaneros, which gives it not only a serious kick, but also a genuinely deep smoky flavor. That also makes it a spicier hot honey than most people are used to. Highly recommended.
Karma Lift Off – If there’s one thing I’m a huge fan of, it’s Thai cuisine. That’s exactly why I want to shine a spotlight on Karma Lift Off again. It’s been in our range for a while now, but flavor-wise it just keeps being one of my absolute favorites. Citrus, coconut, Thai basil, Mexican coriander and green chili. A curry in a bottle. Absolutely delicious.
Don Cabron Salsa Chipotle & Piña – This salsa with chipotle and pineapple is a fantastic combination of sweet & smoky. The Don Cabron Salsa Chipotle & Piña is a total winner with dishes like tacos and nachos. So swap out your boring nacho dip for this Mexican salsa and you’ll never want to go back.
