Reapers & zombies: these are the best Halloween hot sauces

Halloween is coming and although it is not celebrated in Europe as they do in America, for example, but we do like to give it some extra attention. Hot sauce in itself is a bit of an “American thing” and a large part of our range comes from the United States. Perhaps it’s not entirely coincidental that the spookiest sauces are American-made as well. What makes them so suitable for Halloween is, in addition to the often terrifying heat, also the label (or the name). That’s why we’ve created this selection of the best Halloween hot sauces. Hellfire hot sauces

It’s already in the name of this brand, but what they also do very well is make shockingly hot sauces with matching labels that could easily be the poster for a new horror movie. You could actually include almost all the Hellfire hot sauces in this list, but in this case we pay special attention to three sauces.

Hellfire Doomed

According to the makers, Hellfire Doomed is the hottest sauce in the world (without artificial chili extract) with an official Scoville score of no less than 2.7 million SHU. That is crazy hot and this heat comes from the habanero, Trinidad Scorpion and a natural chili extract of no less than 6.6 million Scoville. Scary stuff!

Hellfire Fiery Fool

That clown on the label already reveals that this is a pretty disturbing sauce. The 4 main ingredients of this sauce are all superhots: 7-pot primo, Carolina Reaper, Bhut Jolokia and Trinidad Scorpion. Super hot, but also seriously tasty with the focus on the flavor of the peppers!

Hellfire Fear This!

For this sauce Hellfire asked a Halloween fan to design the label as well, because the Grim Reaper is proudly showed off on the front. Once again extremely hot, but the addition of sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and various herbs & spices gives this hot sauce depth that enthusiasts look for in extreme sauces.

Torchbearer Sauces

Another brand that clearly focuses on the ‘painful’ and scary part of hot sauce is Torchbearer Sauces. They do this in a more comical way than Hellfire and if you ask us, the drawing style is also a bit more stylish. Again, we could include almost all Torchbearer hot sauces in this list, but these 3 clearly take the Halloween crown.

Torchbearer Son of Zombie

Not the most terrifying sauce in terms of heat, but in terms of name and appearance the Son of Zombie fits this list. Habaneros and Ghost Peppers do provide some heat, but for more serious work in this area you’re better off with one of the following two.

Torchbearer Zombie Apocalypse

The bigger brother of the above sauce, or perhaps better said the father of the above sauce, is this Zombie Apocalypse. Where zombies prey on your brain, this Torchbearer Zombie Apocalypse Sauce blasts through your mouth to the brain. However, don’t be too scared to try it, because despite the heat, it is also a very tasty sauce.

Torchbearer Garlic Reaper

Although this sauce is hot enough for a scary Halloween night, this sauce can also save you. No vampire will come near you if you have a bottle of this sauce with you. The first ingredients of this hearty sauce are the Carolina Reaper peppers and garlic.

Korn “Here to Slay” Hot Sauce

In our opinion, the sauce of metal band Korn fits well in this list. The music scares you every now and then and the label & name fit in with the Halloween style. The heat will not ‘slay’ many people, but the flavor is excellent.

Karma Ghost Island Hot Sauce

In combination with the illustration on the bottle and the tagline, Ghost Island could have been the new Halloween blockbuster of the year, but instead it is just a super tasty hot sauce with Caribbean flavors, which is not too hot.
