These 5 dishes become even more delicious with Crispy Chili Oil
Crispy chili oil isn’t just any sauce; it’s a flavor bomb that elevates every dish to the next level. The combination of crunchy chili flakes, aromatic oil and subtle heat makes it irresistible. But where does crispy chili oil really shine? Here are five dishes that are crying out for a generous dollop of this addictively delicious oil.
1. Burrata with crispy chili oil and roasted grapes
Burrata is already creamy and soft on its own, but with a drizzle of crispy chili oil and some oven-roasted grapes, this Italian appetizer gets a completely new dimension. The sweet, warm grapes combine perfectly with the spicy oil and fresh cheese.
How do you make it?
Place a ball of burrata on a plate, scatter some roasted grapes over it (drizzle with oil and put them in the oven for 15 minutes at 180°C), and generously drizzle crispy chili oil over everything. Finish with some toasted pine nuts and fresh basil.
2. Noodles (ramen, udon or mie)
Okay, this might be a bit obvious, but noodles can’t be left off this list. Noodles and crispy chili oil are a match made in heaven. The oil slowly melts through the warm noodles and gives every bite a deep, smoky kick and delicious crunch. Whether you have a simple bowl of instant noodles or an elaborate ramen bowl with toppings: a spoonful of crispy chili oil makes it complete.
Tip: Add a soft-boiled egg and let the yolk mix with the oil for an extra creamy experience.
3. Sweet potato with crispy chili oil yogurt
Oven-baked sweet potato is delicious, but with a sauce of yogurt and crispy chili oil it becomes really exciting. The fresh yogurt tempers the heat, while the oil provides a deep, smoky flavor and crunch. And we can definitely say that the combination of yogurt with crispy chili oil is a real hit. This is also super delicious with a gyros sandwich, chicken wraps or as a dip on your appetizer board.
4. Roasted vegetables
Even the biggest vegetable skeptic gives in to roasted vegetables with crispy chili oil. Think cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts or carrots from the oven, finished with a generous scoop of that spicy oil. And our personal favorite: Roasted cauliflower with crispy chili oil and a bit of lime juice. The fresh sourness of the lime with the umami of the crispy chili oil is a top flavor combination.
5. Beet carpaccio with crispy chili oil and feta
Vegetarian carpaccio might sound fancy, but it’s super easy and surprisingly delicious. Especially when you top it with crispy chili oil. The sweet beet, salty feta and spicy oil create a flavor bomb.
How do you make it? Slice cooked beet into thin slices, arrange on a plate, crumble feta over it, add some arugula and drizzle the crispy chili oil over everything. Finish with toasted walnuts and balsamic to taste.
