This is one of the most luxurious sambals you’ll ever taste. Tomasu Sambal is made with Madame Jeanette peppers & sesame seeds that have been soaked in the Sweet & Spicy Soy Sauce from this Rotterdam brand. This soy sauce has fermented for at least 24 months in 25- to 50-year-old Whisky barrels from the finest Scottish distilleries, followed by another 6 months of aging. The final step to create this sambal is an additional 6 months of fermenting the residue. No wonder the first ingredient is time. The result is a sweet, fairly mild, but incredibly complex sambal that also comes in a beautiful box. An absolute must-try for sambal lovers!
