This Queso Sin Queso hot sauce from Good Heat is a very unique hot sauce. It’s inspired by queso, which is a Mexican cheese sauce, but contains no cheese at all! You read that correctly. The taste of a spicy cheese sauce, with the typical umami flavour, but also suitable for the vegans among us. This is the result of 3 years of development and the result is impressive. The secret of this recipe lies mainly in the nutritional yeast, which provides the cheesy flavour. Onions, Habanero, garlic, turmeric and Ghost Pepper powder have been added to finish it off. A really great addition to anything you would otherwise add cheese (or a vegan alternative) to. Nachos, tacos, burgers, hot dogs, (chopped cheese) sandwiches and so on. Genius! Also known from the YouTube show Hot Ones, where this sauce was 5 out of 10 on Hot Wing in season 23.

Het heeft inderdaad iets weg van een soort kaassaus. Ik vind het in ieder geval heerlijk, het heeft een goede kick! Ik doe het op mijn eitjes, heerlijk als het mengt met het eigeel. Goeie saus!

This quickly became a staple in our house, finally a sauce we can both enjoy. Not too hot, and perfectly doable for non spice heads. The cheese like taste is a great addition in various dishes.
