Fil Jalapeño Shatta

Fil Jalapeño Shatta is a Palestinian fermented chili paste, made in Amsterdam. A kind of Palestinian sambal, but in this case with the nice and fresh taste of Jalapeño. Not too hot, but super tasty because of the fermented paprika and peppers. Olive oil is also an essential part of shatta and that is not surprising, because Palestine is known for its good olive oil. Salt and (apple cider) vinegar have also been added, making it a balanced whole of fresh, savory and spicy flavors. Super versatile, but this Jalapeño shatta is especially delicious with tacos, grilled meat and with your eggs in the morning.

Ingredients Fil Jalapeño Shatta: green bell pepper, Jalapeño (13%), salt, distilled vinegar, apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil.

Store in a cool and dark place. Keep refrigerated after opening and top with olive oil after use to keep fresh.
