TapatÍo is one of the most straighforward hot sauces you can imagine and an absolute entry level experience. No squiggles whatsoever and that’s something I can take equally serious than thoughtfully crafted upper-tier delicacies. Tapatío feels honest in every moment and doesn’t stray that far from tabasco. The chili taste is present as the sauce has a slightly sour overall tone to it. The heat is rather mild but noticeable enough to lend your meals a subtle to decent extra kick. It serves well as long you use it to enhance your dish. I won’t recommend it that much, if you wan’t to use it to dip your snacks into it. The consistency and taste don’t go along with that purpose all that well. On the other side, adding some drops to a pasta sauce, a potato salad or something alike will make you enjoy this product perfectly fine. Taking into account the very attractive price, it is good value for money, too. Especially if you are not looking for superhot stuff, Tapatío is something you can’t go wrong on.

Delicious sauce to put on everything!
The taste is pretty familiar to me, it is actually tasting exactly like the most popular sauce in Mexico, “Valentina”.
Although the peppers they use in “Tapatio” are just a little bit sharper! I love it on eggs, sandwiches etc. Everyday!
