Karma Ghost Island hot sauce

Karma Ghost Island is a mustard based hot sauce with Caribbean vibe to it. This comes from the mix of peppers and fruits such as pineapple, mango and orange juice. This stuff goes great on fish but is also amazing on a sandwich.

The overarching curry flavour makes this sauce a fruity yet tangy experience, as the habanero-, fatalii- and ghost peppers loom over “the island”. The slightly creamy quality adds a level of smoothness to the overall texture, so the sauce has a very nice round consistency to it. Due to Ghost Island’s very distinct taste It can incluence the taste of a meal quite a bit. That doesn’t have to be a bad thing as long as you use it on purpose, in order to add exactly that particular curry-spin on your meal. Also if you’re doing curry anyway, this might actually be an ideal sauce to add some “free” kick as it won’t stray too far from the basic taste of curry, meaning it should blend pretty seamlessly. Ghost Island brings a reasonable amount of heat to the table. I’d say a 6/10. Among the fruity flavourbombs it packs a decent punch.

Bottom line: good stuff with a clear character, that sometimes puts itself a bit too much into its own corner. If you’re looking for a well-balanced combination of flavour and heat, Ghost Island is absolutely worth a try!
